Frequently Asked Questions
We will try to answer your questions as they come in. If you email them, we will respond. Below are several questions we have received and responded to.
Q: What is a "Budget Price"
A: This is to make it easier for you to decide if the generator you
would like is in your budget. The price shown is what in most
cases your cost should be. This includes the generator,
transfer switch, wiring, permits, setup, installation, and customer
orientation.
Q: Can you do the whole thing
(complete install)?
A: We work with an Electrical Contractor to do the electrical
portion of the install. We will then complete the installation
of the gas line, hookups, setup, and first run. We will also
register the unit for you with the manufacturer. By doing it
this way, all local codes and laws are met, and the generator has
been started up by a factory authorized representative.
Q: What is the difference between an air cooled generator and a liquid cooled generator?
A: An air cooled generator utilizes a smaller engine. The engine itself is cooled by circulating air, no antifreeze or radiator. Air cooled generators also run at 3600 RPM's which is much louder and faster than a liquid Cooled Generator. Most, not all, Liquid Cooled Generator runs at 1800 RPM's, utilize a radiator, cooling fan, and antifreeze. Liquid Cooled Generators are significantly quieter than air cooled models.
